Looks to be the same as CarPro sO2pure - stores that sell CQuartz should have it. Its the same Titanium Oxide purification idea and also a great product.

I checked out the carpro stuff and the drivepur is actually cheaper. Theres a product called oxititan as well but is more expensive too. I ended up buying a few of the 32oz bottles of each. Would love to be able to afford the $500 sprayer, but thats not in the cards right now.

I have used both Auto Vaccine and DrivePur. I like drivepur better, however the TiO2 has to be exposed to sunlight to continue to work. I had to hit a car twice and found out they store it underground when not in use, the smoke smell came back (or didn`t ever get removed) because the TiO2 has got to be exposed to sunlight. My true opinion is still out as for the ability to remove smoke smells. So my question is does the TiO2 just keep activating and "covering" the smoke or does it truly remove it. I guess the test would be to leave the car in sunlight for 1 week, and then store it out of sunlight for a week and see?

Greg,

Did you spray with the Smok first? I haven`t used the product yet but from what I understand that product removes the smell and the Prevnt gets rid of the smell when they smoke again.

If the DrivePur requires sitting in the sun, that`d be a deal-breaker for me

Simply not gonna happen in my situation.

I don`t think it needs to sit in the sun, just anywhere natural light will hit it. As in not underground in a dark garage. I think even if it`s in the shade enough light will hit it. But some input on this from DrivePur would be great.

Eh, that`d still be a problem for me...too many tree-droppings and stuff like that, and very little light gets through the garage windows.

To my knowledge...Limited it may be lol, but the way the drivepur system works w/ the smok, shock, and prevent is the smok & shok will permanetly remove the odors while prevent in conjunction w/ sunlight will work to prevent any new odors from forming.

I used the sonic fogger on a family members car as a test before I use it on my clients vehicles and it has been abt a week now and there hasnt been a trace of smoke smell since. I ran the fogger, put the a/c on 72* and recirculated the air for 5 min w/ each chemical and after that there was just the clean smell, not really a way to describe it other than just smelled clean. The car is their daily driver so it does get sun but still no sign of the smoke smell returning.

Well, even standard automotive glass has UV blockers in it, so I would assume that fairly minimal sunlight would be needed. The front windshield on it`s own probably allowes enough inside the vehicle.

The Drive Pur does not need UV to eliminate odors, but the UV reactivates the final step to kill bacteria and odors. This keeps the product working, but the first 3 steps should eliminate any odors in the car.

Just got our Driverpur stuff in a couple days ago, we`re looking forward to trying it out. I figure if it works half as good as John is making it out to be; it`ll be worth the cost.

Hmmm...that might work great. Heh heh, I`d sure be investing a lot in this little issue though :think:

But for somebody in a more, uhm...normal situation it could be just the trick, never saw that before.
