So today at work the use motorcycle dealer next store came in and asked me if I wanted to set up some kind of deal wear they would pay me to wash there bikes once a week, I just have some questions about bikes.

    1. What would be a good price for just a wash (10 bikes) they dont want any wax or anything just a wash. They said the bikes mostly just get dusty because they sit out side.

    2. What is different from detailing a bike vs. a car ?

    3. Can I soak them with water or will that hurt the motors ?

    4. They have a mix of sports bikes and cruisers is there things I should do on plastic vs. Metal ? What about chrome parts ?

    Thanks for any help guys

Agree, never ever dress anything on a bike....

If they are just wanting just a simple wash, they`re probably not going to want to pay much for it, so I wouldn`t offer to get to intimate with the bike.

I`d get a leaf blower for sure to dry them with though, lots of little parts...

Not sure what you`re thinking of doing, but I`d just give it a good soapy spray down, rinse, blow dry and maybe a QD wipe down for a little added shine. Just wipe any chrome down so there`s no streaks.

Charge them $10 a bike, and you`ll make an extra couple of hundred bucks a month.

    $10 a bike seems a little low doesn`t it?

Not if he`s doin 10 bikes a week or more at that price and it`ll probably take half hour at the most. Let`s do the math $10 per bike. 10 bikes per week that`s $5200 extra a year. Plus if your like me you might like to take the half hour break inbetween a paint correction and just wash a bike for a lil bit.

Guys, I`m thinking based on his post this is just a wash only job (no polishing, no correction, no waxing) for 10 bikes and they`re only dusty not really dirty?

Do you think the dealer is going to want to spend $10 per bike?
