Are you using a canopy for your washes? If not, is ONR your main ingredient?

How is your business license/insurance set up?

How are your drying methods with truck beds?

How much would you say the basic wash compromises of your auto detailing business (excluding home cleaning)? 50, 80, 90 percent?

Sorry for the delay on answering....my router and modem got hit by lightening.

I don`t use a canopy. I pressure wash the vehicles off then I ONR.

My business license is through my county and was 35.00. My business liability insurance is for 2 million and costs me 1100.00 a year.

If the truck bed is full of a lot of debris.....like hay and large amounts of dirt....I will NOT blast it out. I`ll talk with the customer about it and we will come to some type of conclusion.

On the percentage.....hmmmmm....well this is what I did last week.

    Monday....

Six wash and shines and one full detail

    Tuesday....

Six wash and shines and one house detail (that really sounds neat!)

    Wednesday...

Five wash and shines and two, 20 foot campers

    Thursday...

Eight wash and shines, one full detail and a patio at the same home

    Friday....

One large home and deck....did two wash and shines for the customer before leaving since I was already set up.

    Saturday....

Two wash and shines with vacuuming.....easy day.

Maybe this will help better than just telling you the percentage.....easier on me!

    Well.......yes!

I have now added two full time employees. We are now taking on residential and commercial glass cleaning and roof cleaning. We are calling it "home and business detailing".

I could not be happier since the expansion. I`m busy and yes, tired. There is a sense of security that I can`t explain. The window cleaning alone will keep us busy through the winter.

You all have to check this glass cleaning system out. It has boosted my income......almost doubled it.

Water Fed Poles and Pure Water Systems

There is glass everywhere. It always get dirty and everyone wants it clean. It`s fast to clean and the pay is great. We have 6 store fronts that take us 30 minutes to do and pay 100.00 a piece.....bi weekly. Now you see why I`m excited about it.

Just trying to show it pays to be diverse.

    Thanks!

Things have been really good. I got your email and forgot about it! I got a new phone and I just now have it set up!

    Ok....about work.

The power washing biz has really kicked off. I`m doing an average of 4 a week at 350.00 per ticket. I have now added glass cleaning to arsenal. I landed 25 cabins worth of glass for a local cabin retreat rental company. I`m doing each cabin for 200.00 per. It takes me and my two employees an average of 1 hour per cabin. I`m also doing commercial glass as well....outside only...with this setup....water fed poles.

Detailing has been good too. Well, some here would not call what I do "detailing"....lol!

25.00 get`s a outside wash and shine (spray wax and tire shine)

50.00 get`s the above plus vacuum, windows, and wipe down

100.00 get`s a wash, machine one step, tires, windows, mats, vacuum, spot removal, and air freshener.

Here is how the last 5 months have broke down financially....

    Power washing, decks, and staining

    6800.00 per month

    Glass Cleaning

    2700.00 per month

    Detailing

    2500.00 per month

These are gross figures. I have now have two employees, insurance, gas, chemicals. I spend about 150.00 per month on advertising. All of my details are coming from my new power washing clients and my new power washing clients are coming from my details. They generate business for each other.

Diversifying is the best thing I have ever done. I have secure glass cleaning routes that pay my overhead and will give me winter work. I just look back and remember that I was making about 2500.00 per month detailing and not knowing what the next month would bring.

I have posted these figure in no means as boasting. I`m just trying to motivate. Please understand that. Thanks to all of you and I hope to help you in anyway I can. Please email, call, or text me anytime!

This amount is for cards and gas. I simply go door to door and talk to the customers one on one.

These are MONTHLY numbers averaged from the last 5 months. I don`t think I made that clear in the above post.

In your package that includes protection...you apply sealant and wax, or just selaant? If so, which product? Im assuming its probably a WOWA or something like Optiseal to save you time.
