I melt it in my palm and then apply it to an applicator to apply to the car. Works great and you do not have to worry about introducing scratches into the paint with your hands. Apply it thin.

One other thing I forgot to mention. When you initially apply the wax always do two coats. Wipe the car down in between with some chilled, distilled H2O. I don`t know what it is with this wax but one coat looks great two coats look AMAZING.

i tried it once because a member here wanted it on his car. i got the finish about 90% with an 83/80/RMG combo. We then both took either vintage or concours, and I applied to half the hood. The finish was a little worse than before the wax due to "hard hands". I like a foam applicator better! but it is a true "hand wax". :getdown:getdown:getdown

I know the description said to not pay attention to the side conversation Eric, but it brought a smile to my face

I would follow zymol`s directions in terms of applying this wax. It is important that you work the wax a little with your fingertips and then apply it to your surface by hand.

You can either use your bare hands, or if you are afraid of marring, then you can have a choice of using latex or disposeable cotton gloves. Never use clear plastic or nylon gloves, because they will induce marring (trust me!).

Zymol says that you should wait 5 minutes before taking the wax off, but I`ve found that by the time you finish applying the wax on the surface (don`t bite off too much at first; Just half a hood or a fender at a time until you get the feel for it) that five minutes would`ve passed. You could start buffing the wax off as soon as you finish applying it to a surface. It has also been very beneficial to me that having at least two buffing towels (I use three) is the best way to take off the wax residue, as you can take it off with light to moderate hand pressure and not risk putting excessive pressure to the panel, which could cause marring.

After you have buffed off all of the paste, you can come back and do a final wipe with your best towel, and you can do it dry or with atomized water.

Good luck. Vintage is a sensational wax.
