Hey guys, I`m new to autopia. First of my name is Sean, and I detail more for a hobby than a source of income.

One of my regular customers asked me to detail one of his older Porsche`s, and I`ve got a few questions about it. He told me the paint is was re-shot about 15 years ago. He said he`s put 500 miles on it in the 11 years he`s owned it, so I want to make it look as good as possible, durability not an issue. I`ve been using poorboys SSR2.5 and SSR1 followed by NXT2.0, and IMO it looks great, but here`s my question. I have a bottle of Megs Show Car Glaze, and Cleaner Wax in my garage I`ve never really seen fit to use. I`m debating putting the Glaze on before I wax the car. But being the Cleaner wax is an AIO, it`ll remove the glaze right?

If you guys can give me a recommendation for what to use after I`m done polishing, witch wax to use, that would be awesome. I have a few pictures of said car I`ll post when I`m allowed.

    Thanks,

    Sean

You`re right the cleaner wax will probably mess with the glaze... I would just top the glaze with NXT 2.0 and call it a day... that`s worked great for me in the past

I thought I had better pictures but apparently not. It doesn`t really show the condition of the paint. :aww:

polish it out, then add your sealant, then glaze

polish it out, then add your glaze, then your wax (nuba)

leave the cleaner wax at home! I use cleaner waxes just for cars that are slightly oxidized that arent getting compounding/polished

Well I got the car done, but it gave me major problems. I ended up using SSR2.5 on an orange pad, than SSR1 on a white pad, and NXT on a finishing pad. But I wasn`t able to remove all of the swirls. He told me the car hadn`t gotten washed since he had it. Anyways, here`s some pictures of the finished car. I`m just learning how to use the new D40 so I wasn`t able to get any of the swirls prehand except this crappy one.

And the afters, they don`t show the little imperfections left either.
