Hello all. I am looking for a smaller unit that is quite and powerful (what everyone wants right?)

Right now I have a metro van and blow and a Craftsman 6.5hp 16 gallon. The metro is great except no option for wet and the Craftsman is far too large and loud as all hell.

Would you all assist me and recomend me a new vac!

    Thanks!

I would check out Wap Alto vacuums. More expensive, but well worth it.

As stated rigid. I have one of these and detail kit rigid makes and it comes with a 10ft. hose and other tools that work really well. The vac comes with a storage bin in back to put all the attachments.

    VT2534 is the kit.

I use a Kodiak. I think it`s about 100cfm.. The old one just blew up after 6 years of daily use, and we just bought another one. I don`t know if I could be happier with a different Vac.. They`re a little pricey, but extremely dependable and powerful.

I recently bought a 5 gallon 5.5 hp Contractor series ShopVac at Lowes and so far it`s been great for detailing.

Just picked one of these up at Home Depot. I don`t believe they`re listed on their site, but they have them. About $75 I think. I`m really impressed with it. Really good suction, the whole unit seems really well designed and it fits in the trunk of my car no problem.

    Shop-Vac at Lowe`s: 3.5-Gallon 4.0 Peak HP Hang Up Wet/Dry Shop Vac

I got it for $30 last year. Best one yet. And I keep it on the wall. More than enough hose and power.

Fein makes an incredible small powerful vacuum, but it`s a little expensive. The ridgid vacuum is also very powerful, but you MUST buy yourself a professional hose for the vacuum, it makes a huge difference.

Here is a link to a Fein vacuum.

Here is a link for a vacuum hose. I bought mine from a detail distributor locally, so I didn`t have to buy a 50` hose.2"X50` BLUE VAC HOSE
