do those of you that use an SUV type car/rig for mobile carry a water tank and pressure washer inside? i have a suburban i`m thinking of using but i`m kinda worried about getting the interior wet and also worry about the oder of the exhaust. i like the idea of the rear cargo thing in the previous pics but my suburban is already heavy enough and long enough. i just dont want to spend money one another car/suv/van right now.

Scion is just too small plus I can`t stand looking at them... no offense to anyone who owns one.:geez

If you use a water tank and pressure washer, I`m not sure you`d want to put that inside an Odyssey though.

I`ve thought about the FJ Cruiser, I`ll have to see the Odyssesy as well. Thanks for the input Scott.

I would echo that a Honda Odyssey (mine consistantly gets between 20- 24 mpg) would serve your purpose very well. If you wanted something with a smaller footprint but still very efficient then go with a Honda Element( about 27mpg) or a HHR panel (will get at least 30mpg, dedicated storage in back)

If you go with a larger SUV, your real world mileage will not be much different from your current vehicle (mass+ lousy aerodynamics= poor mpg) and the footprint will be about the same. IMO, a person who shows up to my house in an Escalade to do work will be turned away immediately. (I tend to agree that a dedicated work vehicle looks more professional than a blinged out SUV)

Definately food for thought, thanks for your input.

That`s temping, but I`ve owned a Vette and it would just be morally wrong to hook a trailer hitch up to it....

Build it! Get yourself newer Tundra/Tacoma and do something like this:

    The Build:

View topic - Toyota Hilux (work truck) - For HAN

    It`s reliable too!

Would be nice on something like this (but in black):

    Flashtime = Han

It will help you save a few pennies in the process. You can get roof racks, hitches, push bars, etc. for it.

I do mobile detailing for friends and family. Might not be the absolute best, but I do it for free.

That one looks really nice but a bit small, I`m afraid it won`t be enough room to haul all my stuff?

(I don`t use a tank or generator or anything, just lots of equipment)

josh, you PW, or ONR mainly? use other peoples water for PWing?

reason I ask is that I use ONR only for my washes. I have a nissan Xterra and everything fits in perfectly...

    16gallon tank for water

    HWE

two bins for towels and products

one bag for machines and brushes/plates/extension cords

    16gallon vacuum

and I can even arrange it all to where I can put in a pop-up canopy as well.

Gets about 16ish MPG, so not the best, but not low teens either

priced at about 22K give or take...only option they dont have that I really wanted was leather

Throw some rims on it and you might just be set. my model has the option to lay every seat perfectly flat except for the driver (including the passenger front even!)

I have to load it all up tomorrow, so if you want I can take a picture and show you. but your reason is the exact same reason I switched from a toyota tundra to a SUV - ability to lock everything up while shopping, away from the truck, and even keep things from flying out!

You`d be surprised. I`ve carried a 32" TV in a massive wood cabinet in ours before.

There`s a guy on here, weekendwarrior, with an Element he uses for detailing.

i have been looking at Chevy Express 1500 and 2500 cargo vans.....they havd plenty of room but i hate the fact that in the miserable weather(snow) they stink....i am currently working out of my Trailblazer but i am out of room....the element is tempting....i may head over to the local honda dealer and check it out....
