I know a certain detailer who was on here and is on another well-known forum that does everything by hand and does not use claybar.

It makes me think they`ve never held a rotary polisher because I can`t imagine working without one. I`d be lost, honestly.

That`s pretty funny. I bet the editor that let that headline slip by gets an ear full.

    Funny headline !!!

I read that article, but never picked up on how that headline can be interpreted until now.

If I had to do paint correction on black cars exclusively by hand, I would be the the hardest working and poorest detailer around. Imagine exterior detailing a heavily swirled black Mercedes Benz S 550 without a rotary.

I hope the article is referring to the washing only. I used to detail all by hand up to around 2004 and couldn`t imagine going back to that method now. New paints are so much harder that a rotary is the only way to get serious correction.

He would probably need to expand into a lube also before I stopped in...

Some guy around my area has bumber stickers like that-- "I got my handjob at X`s detailing". Nothing I`d rather have than a bumper sticker saying that I got a handjob from a guy (enter flagrant sarcasm here).
