Marking the one month application of the coating on my hood I thought I`d shoot a beading and blowdrying video. The video was shot using pressurized and non pressurized water and dried with my shopvac electric blower. No towel drying was required!

    Enjoy:

Any issues with streaking on the red Mercedes you did a couple weeks ago?

How many miles do you have on the car since the coating was applied?

How many washes have you done?

No streaking at all, I went back over the whole car 1hour after initial application with a MF dampened with OID. I had two places (small corners at trim) where if I hadn`t gone over them it probably would have. I`ll probably do a wash on the MB this weekend and will shoot a video of it beading.

On my car (in the video) I have put 642 miles and have washed it about 8 times. I have also deliberately left it out in the weather. Today there was a gritty feel to the paint from pollen. I pressure rinsed the car and it came off the hood with only the rinse; I had to shampoo the rest of the car to get it off. It wasn`t bonded enuff to require clay or anything, but the coating wasn`t having anything to do with it, LOL!

Other than trying a very early version of the coating, I am completely out of the loop on this product. How does the look compare to OS or OCW?

Just FYI, upload to youtube, much less compression so the video quality is a lot better.

to me it looks almost exactly like OS. The difference is very noticeable at the next wash though, after curing you can top with ANYTHING. I added OCW to my hood and it deepened it just like it does OS. You`ll love this stuff after you do a full correction and then apply it to protect all your hard work.

Sorry about the video, it was shot with my MOTO KRZR. My sony needs the head replaced b/c I left a tape in it too long, bummer.

It`s a Wipe on coating that lasts over a year. Only available to pros because if you apply it wrong you have to abrasively remove it.

No, you can buy it. I only meant that is was not available to everyone. All you have to do is contact Optimum and do a little paperwork (liability type stuff) and you are good to go. PM me if you need contact info or more details.
