Sorry to hear man, hopefully things will pick back up soon when the country can focus on something other than the election this fall. Things up in NE Florida are a little slower but still fortunate enough to have steady business.

it is hard. When I went for the interview today and I was told what was expected of me I almost cry. What they consider a full detail is a Mini detail for us. It is frustating when you have a standar and have to go to this. I hope this go by fast.

    Thak you guys.

In whatever you do, don`t compromise what you believe in. Just do the best job with whatever expectations they have.

I 2nd that. Like Maria said in the Sound of Music, "When the Lord closes a door somewhere He opens a window." I`ve found that to be true for my business. Seems like I`ve been having a very long night in my personal life though, but I still know joy comes in the morning.

Well, maybe things with the dealer can work out to your advantage.

If you show them that you can do a great detail, perhaps you can broker a better deal with them. Maybe, you can take over all of there luxury and expensive cars, as those could use a better detail.

If you can provide them with the info: This good of detail can raise the value this much, then perhaps they can work with you.

Do you really need to close your business, or can you continue to do it part time and service your remaining customers on weekends or your off days until it picks back up again? Good luck to you, hard workers always end up on their feet with good opportunities. I`m sure you`ll do great

I feel your pain. Last May through July and even into August, it rained pretty much at least every other day. Another month of it and I wasn`t sure if I was going to be able to make it.

I 2nd the recommendation you try to find a way to at least keep going part time as your other job allows.

Well I wil be working 6 days a week. I will try to get at least one Saturday a month off. I was talking to 4 of my customers and they still want me to do their cars at least once a month. I guess I can do some cars after church on Sundays. Only God knows. I am sure he will guide me in what to do.

Thank you guys for your support.

I wouldn`t over do it on Sunday with detailing after church, you need a day of rest, however as long as you are enjoying it...I say go for it...

Good luck, God doesn`t just close doors he creates new opportunities!

Well it has been 4 days on my new job and 15 cars later. I can`t even walk. The guy working before me only did the easy ones. Now I have done 8 full details. and the rest were deliveries. I start at 7am and do not finish until 6pm. This will be 6 days a week.

At least they are very happy with my work. Goint to talk to the Services Sup. so I can get permission to re-arrange the bays and get some self reeling cords.(for safety reasons)

Don`t let them take advantage of you. If you are knocking it out, then ask for more cash. If not they will work you to death.
