Saturday evening, i was out walking the dogs when I passed by a neighbor who had just finished washing his black Acura MDX. He asked me to check the "rough " feeling he had on the paintwork and asked for advice in getting his vehicle looking better.

I told him it was bonded contaminants, and told him about paint cleaning clay. he asked me about the stuff he had, and I suggested he start with with the either the Meguiar`s Deep Crystal system or the Mothers California Gold system. I also told him to check out Autopia for the wealth of info he could find here.

I ran into him this morning at consumer auto parts and helped him to pick out what he needed. He went with the Meg`s smooth clay and deep crystal system to start.

I may have created another Autopian! :xyxthumbs

That is a great story! I try to teach my neighbor the proper ways and then the next day I see him out there with an old face cloth washing his bike! :bawling: Then he asks my why he has so many little scratches! Way to be a true Autoian Deciple!

Just did a friend`s car for him and then show him on how wash and maintain it too, this morning at work i saw him using a QD and a MF to get some light dust off his car. He just loves the shine and wetness so much!:grinno:

I have done the same exact thing with my neighbors .... and instead of ridiculing me for spending so much time detailing cars they look to me as a resource for information.

Your right. All my neighbors that have taken the time to talk to me about what I am doing now understand my obsession...and dont think I am so crazy. :bounce
