Well I will be moving 6 hrs away in August so Im going to have to pack it in for some of my clinets and was wondering if I should do anything special for them? Im sending them a letter telling them of my leaving and suggesting one last full detail for maxium protection while im gone and leaving them the dates I will be home for break if they still want to use my services. Anything I should do to thank them for their support over the last 2 years?

How about giving them a bottle of QD and a couple MF towels? Also, give them priority during your breaks from school.

I second Scott`s suggestion (one MF would probably be fine, with a small bottle of QD which you can fill yourself), possibly with some directions on proper car care using said products. If you`re writing a letter to them and including the dates you`ll be home on break, definitely mention that you will give them priority scheduling. I`d also thank them again and stress the fact that they helped you pay for college (if that is true).

I made the move from high school to college last year, but my choice of school was heavily based on the fact that I could continue running my business if I was close by. That being said, all of my regular customers know I`m in college and are pretty flexible when it comes to scheduling so I don`t go crazy.

At least recommend a good detailer in your absence.
