OpenOffice is a great program and does not have a killer learning curve.

As you`re on a tight deadline, I think you should just use the software you are most familiar with and have available.

As for ideas for the flyer, I think best bet is to do some searching (e.g. google) for websites and/or images of other flyers, or even check out the yellow pages just to generate ideas, and then make your own layout/template.

A did a search on a couple of images for flyers, came back with:

They aren`t great, but hopefully have some ideas to get you started. I`m sure there are hundreds of detailing websites as well that will have some flyer type pages.

Thanks, ybajwa this is what i was looking for, something I can at least get an idea of what type of layout to pursue. Im not a very artistic person at all and I usually need some sort of visual stimulation to help me get started on projects such as this.

I have tried flyers many years ago. It is only my personal opinion that flyers attract discount shoppers looking for a quick fix. Now I leave a nice color business card give me better results.

i am not so much into putting pricing on things....what if the hummer comes in straight from the bud pits....are you still going to wash it for 25 bucks even though its going to take 2 hours to wash???? how about 120 bucks to complete 3 step detail it??? Putting prices on flyers binds you into a set price IMO....maybe something like "starting at 25 dollars" would work better...or "certain restrictions apply"....but I would stay away from set pricing on flyers....

I use to design stuff all the time for my moms buissness. Just make sure you do put that stuff in small print and for the love of good put an expiration date and limit 1 per custom. Make sure you cover and thing possible to prevent people from ripping you off.
