i thought those $$$$ zymols were for museum /collectors cars that never go outside....surleys theres better stuff cars that sit out in rain/sun etc

This is a good chance to analyze some very creative marketing. Forget about the Ã¢â‚¬Å“detailingÃ¢â‚¬ and concentrate on the marketing position. The wording and list of testimonials is astounding!!! Check out the selected wording and catch phrases. The question is not if he can do what he says, its who does his marketing?

Thats spot on. This guy is no doubt good but I doubt any better that many on here. What he has is good marketing, A reputation, and gets a lot of work from providing a good service to a (wealthy) client who then recommends him to his (wealthy) mates, often in posh car clubs I suspect. He has a limited market, but I am sure he lives very well on it and good luck to him!!! Think we can all learn something from the way he goes about getting business...

he markets himself to those who have more money than brains-sad thing is that he probably believes his own marketing in regards to the Zymol BS. With the type of customers he deals with if he charged less he probably would end up losing business. With certain people the aura of exclusivity sells.

It got to the stage where manufacturers like Mercedes-Benz, Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Ferrari were recommending that owners only use cold water to wash their cars

Dumb question of the day... I always use hot soapy water to wash my car....Should I be using colder water? should I use "moderate" water. This was something I never paid much attention to....What would I use and why???

this doesn`t make sense, a misprint?

also 73% concentration? i thought the most possible was well below 50%

What I have been told by wax makers that`s BS. The highest I am told is around 30% but most are in the teens to 20`s. Besides, it`s not the wax that is making the paint shimmer and shine nor is it the more carnauba the more shine you get but rather it enhances and protects the polishing work. Wax is a sacrificial barrier between your polish work and the elements.

The guy knows how to market, he created for himself a very nice niche BUT again as for the work, I am not impressed at all, sorry.

We all would certainly agree!!! The crystal case and those high class seals turns ordinary wax into something rare and unattainable. What else would this person say he used? Believe me, those people that have money have brains too. What they love to do is spend a ton of money on the best of something (branding). They purposely want to overpay for something so they can brag. It has to look great, smell great and make them feel great.

After going deeper into his site....

I have a real hard time believing 3 layers of any carnauba is going to last a year unless it is a garage queen. Plus, I too noticed most of his pics have the car in the shade.
