Re: NEW PRODUCT - CarPro HydroFoam - Wash & coat in ONE step!

I`m an avid user of Hydro2, it saves time over conventional waxes/sealants, glossier than most, extremely hydrophobic, dries almost perfectly with a #MetroVac Sidekick.
I`m looking forward to trying the new #HydroFoam.
If it saves me time, it makes me money!

/\ Exactly + Bikes it`s amazing. Really works well on chrome too, windows it`s a bit picky though... esp roof run lines.

    Dear jsou

It`s definitely on my list for my next order, but it`ll have to wait until payday. If I spend any more money on detailing stuff this month, my wife will ridicule me mercilessly.

I`m looking forward to reviews. I`m sure it`s going to be a wonderful timesaver.

There`s more to come in the Blackfire line this year, too, so I`m saving for those new products as well.

So an LSP that`s already on the car won`t affect bonding?

I think it could be nice in a foam cannon before the winter to get some protection on all those under hood and under body parts buy foaming and rinsing them.

no it doesn`t. hydro2 needs a good cleaning first before application.

Wondering if the high pressure of the foam cannon would iniate the process of the foam/soap bonding to the paint before it has been completely washed. The instructions say that giving it that stiff blast of water is what lights it off. If this were the case would you have the working time to actually do the wash?

I quite like this product for a quick shine and a bit of protection, my daughter chooses this as her product of choice as she`s not really in to detailing but likes a clean car. It`s easy as pie, but I`ve only ever applied it with a hand foamer. My method may take a little more time as I use the pressure washer to give it a quick spray to clean the heavier dust off(my vehicles are seldom really dirty) and lubricate the surface. I then apply the HydroFoam with a Kwazar Foamer and wash with a quality mitt and use the pressure washer to rinse and activate the product.

I think the hand foamer has to be a bit more economical than mixing 1:9 in the bucket. Now my dillution ratio probably ends up a bit thinner than the recommended 1:9 as the surface is wet when I apply but it cleans like any other shampoo and I have no doubt the product sees the finish in sufficient quantity to completely cover. I mean anything that ends up on the ground is wasted right? All I`m saying is this method has worked for me and I`ve been pleased with the result.

The one thing I can recommend with this product is to wash and rinse small sections at a time. Rinse throughly, keep the entire surface wet as you progress so that the area you`ve previously rinsed doesn`t end up with product on it as you move from panel to panel. If you don`t get it all off it will streak. I learned this the hard way as I didn`t get the luggage racks completely rinsed free of product and it ran down.
