took me about 2 month to decide to go for this training.

i choose one of the best out there , Tom Price with pdrcoach.

the training took place in Chicago, so i flew there, the course was 2 weeks.

i already got the tools , light hood stand , and 2 hoods for practice , one aluminum (Aston ) and one steel.

i plan practice on the hoods, but in about 3 months i should be able to add PDR to my services.

a few pic from the training.

Cosmin. Very cool, but once you get out into the real world use only one tube light instead of two. Youll be able to read to straighten the panels quicker. Best of luck this was a very smart move. Nice job on that crease on the door. Practice on horizontal creases vs. Vertical ones there the hardest to get. Keep up the great work.

Cosmin, how much more difficult is aluminum compared to steel?

We had a gouge (similar to the long mark in your foto above) in the door of our Audi which they said is an aluminum skin and they really did a poor job with it.

i did not work on aluminum yet , i do have a hood to practice on. as soon as i have all the set-up ready i will see what`s the difference. fro what i heard the steel has body memory and that`s why comes back to original state once is repaired, the aluminum may be softer.

if the dent is finish with a poor job ( stabbed, chopped) i will call that an improper technician.

so far in my training i had a few problems to adjust my eye so i see the top of my tool , once i see it i can finish the dent on any panel. thanks for advice.

I trained with Tom back in February. We worked out of Pekin. He really does know his stuff, now I just need to find more time to practice. Good luck.
