I have a few high polished aluminum peices in my engine bay and i guess from using a crappy towel they have developed some marring, slight swirling and light scratches, the surface is mirror like but hazy, how can i get it back to mirror like w/o it being repolished by a machine, any metal polishes that will achieve this? I have read about alot of metal polishes that are to be used in steps but i can`t find one that says it will remove water spots and fine scratches. Help!!! :shocked

Give Mothers Billit polish a try .. thats what I used as a final step when I was making my aluminum heat shields. Then I AIO/SG

I know http://www.heavymetalpolish.com makes some great stuff.
Their fine and medium grade metal polish would do the trick .
I`m going to be ordering some of their coarsest polish in hopes of removing oxidation from my middle exhaust pipe.

I agree with Jess on the Billit cleaner. I used it to
"buff" out some scratches in some stainless exhaust
tips and it`s amazing. It does take some work if their
a little deeper than slight marring, but they do eventually
come out. Hope that helps.

NevRDull (sp?) or similar `wadding` polish. They are great for aluminum or stainless steel.

Don`t mean to hijack, but what about swirls/scratches in chrome? Would the mother`s billet polish work?
