Ssr3
Hello.
Has anyone ever used SSR3 with a polishing pad when 2.5 wouldn`t cut it. I use a PC. Steve has always said use a lighter pad and let the polish do the work. Did it still haze even with a polishing pad. I`ve used it with a cutting pad and it hazed really bad. Just wondering.
Thanks in advance for your replies.:)

If it is hazing you are most likely not lettign it breakdown enough or using too much. I just did a black truck using SSR3 and cutting pad, SSR2 and polishing pad then polish with carnuba and polishing pad and topped with EX-P and a carnuba. I will get pics up right now.

SSR3 hazes little to none for me if worked long enough.
Even if it does haze just follow up with something lighter (SSR2 or 1)
I never go from SSR3 to wax, even if there is no haze.....

Good job on the truck Bob
Bet you wish you had a rotary for that :D ;)
How long did all that polishing take total?
-
Thanks Steve.
I started it at 8:30 and got done totally with the whole truck at 2:00. That included a few breaks since I had to do it outside in the heat I took a few breaks to go cool offin the house. :D

8:30-2 just for the outside or inside and outside?
I`m averaging about 5 hours on a ful exterior job...

Nice timing and process! I like the beer cans on the lawn, must of helped I bet :D

I don`t drink but my dad was over and helped out a bit. ;)
Steve, that was for the exterior only. That included removing scratches and swirls with SSR3/SSR2/polish with carnuba/then EX-P and carnuba paste wax. Then I cleaned the underside of the truck but most time was spent on scratch removal.

man that truck really shines. I never used ssr3 but I just had to coment on the truck. BRAVO

The truck looks good man. May I ask what you used on cleaning up underneath??
-
Hmmm SSr3 seems to be some stuff alot of enthusiasts are using. Anyone have a rating for abrasiveness? Def higher than DACP.
-
I just used some citrus degreaser that we use on engines to clean the underside, wheel wells, and suspension really well then I went over the wheel wells (dad did that part ;) ) with Poorboy`s Bold N` Brite.
As far as abbrasiveness goes...I am not sure what to compare it to.

Thanks for the help, everyone.
