How much do ya'll charge
Hey guys..
I am not a professional, but i love takin care of my truck. My problem is.. I have a lifted 4 Dr. Tahoe.. and it has a bunch of smooth surfes sracthes. I am needing it to get wax. I know ya`ll can`t tell with out lookin at it but do ya`ll think those scrathes would be able to be buffed out. One of my buddys works at a Car dealership and he is gettin one of the guys there to do it.. Do ya`ll think i should do a wetsand.. I will try to post some pics of it.. Thanks Blake

If you can get your thumbnail to "click" in any of the scratches, they are too deep for polishing out. It looks like it might need a light colorsand, but without actually seeing the vehicle -- and feeling it`s real hard to tell.
Nice truck though!! :bigups

Thanks for the reply... The scrathes are smooth and i don`t hear a click when i run my nail over it.. thanks..

I don`t know that those are going to come out by hand. If you can`t feel them with your nail then it is very likely that you will be able to remove them with a polisher and the right compound. Try using Meguiar`s ScratchX by hand in a few places and see if that helps. If it does then I guess that is your solution if you don`t have a polisher.

The truck is definitely in for some work, especially being black.
Here`s a thread to check out

At the bodyshop back in April, we did a 1994 Lexus SC400. It`s a big car as well. I wouldn`t wetsand/colorsand the top of the your car either......really doesn`t need it when your THAT high! :bigups
The final bill came out came out to $600--that was for about 15-17 hrs of work with 1 guy (me).

Looks pretty bad. I`d say your best bet would be to wetsand and then compound and polish. It looks too severe to just polish out. But again its difficult to tell from a picture. Just follow the golden rule of detailing: use the least abrasive method possible and work your way up until you get the results you are looking for. Then work your way back down until it shines :bigups

out of curiosity, what caused the scratches??

Ya know I see so many trucks here in So-Cal like yours and closest they come to "off roadin" is when the wifey bounces it up the curb tryin to parallel park. I`m gonna share those pics with a few of them :D
