monday am detail

i forgot to post this earlier today.

tom. im working on a 2002 grand cherokee limited . When i assesed the car i noticed spots on the hood wich i had come across on a previos jeep detail job about 2 months ago. they look like bad touch up and buff with sealer over them . but clay faded them a little . then i thought they were sap that fell,baked in the sun, and thinned in the heat. i tried a 3m perfect it pad on a snap on rotoary set on #2 of 6 speeds and this did nothing to rid the spots. what could they be i will try to take a pic of it . its the second jeep in this color ive seen it happen on. paint defect ? my mother has this same jeep in color and all she also has them and had them since the jeep was new . i havent gotten to work on hers yet but id like to fix them for her b/c she notices them .
