I`m going to pick up a PC this weekend. What exactly do I need in the way of polish. I don`t want to go too abrasive, but need something that will clean away a year of grime and hard water.
Also, do I need more pads, or are the pads it comes w/ all I need? Thanks alot -Ryan

You can go with a few options for polish:
Menzerna Final Polish
Poorboys Professional Polish
Poorboys Polish With Carnuba
Clearkote`s Vanilla Moose or Moose Wax
Klasse All In One
There are a few other good ones, but I can`t think of them
right now.
As for the PC pad, it is recommended that you buy something
better such as pads from Meguire`s, Edge, or Lake Country.
You will also need to get a backing plate to accomodate
the pads. Polish pads are the ones used most often, so I would
suggest that you invest in those. You can look into getting
other grade pads (cut, finish) later on if you feel they are needed.
USDM said it right! Also I would say that for a years worth of neglect, you should use some type of abrasive polish for the first time to get rid of the damage. Try SSR2 or FP. Also, you can buy a PC with some pads or an complete pad kit from CMA, PAC or Autogeek. Good Luck.

I have several pads,..you needs to have some in the "bull-pen" for when accidents happen or one pad get too dirty

You will need a backing plate too for the pads - it`s a round velcro disc the pads stick to - you can get a meg`s kit with the plate and three pads from Dwayne at www.premiumautocare.com :)

i never used that before so can someone tell me waht to get wax , with pads , atc.
It would help to have an idea of what you are trying to tackle first. If you just want to wax or seal, you don`t really need a machine, as this can be done by hand.Quote:

There are quite a few choices you can go with for waxes, and most will not dissapoint you. If you want to keep things simple, you can go with the following:
Meguire`s NXT
Meguire`s #26 High Tech Yellow
Poorboys Polish with Carnuba
Klasse All in One
each of these can work as a one step wax or as part of a multi-step process.
For a bit more intense work requiring multi-steps (more than just washing the car), you can go with any of the following:
Poorboys EX
Poorboys EX-P
Poorboys Natty`s Paste
Pinnacle (Liquid or paste Sovereign)
Pinnacle Glanz
Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection
Klasse Sealant Glaze (best to use with Klasse All in One)
Wolfgang Deep Gloss paint Sealant
Just a few examples of what you can work with. As for pads, I suggest getting some foam applicator pads.I find these work very good, and do not really leave anything behind. Terry pads are good as well, but i find that they can leave behind pieces of the cloth when you apply waxes of sealants. If want to know if a sealant is really layering, just try using a teryy pad, and watch all the cloth pieces suspended in the sealant (first hand experience on that one:lmfao

If you would like one product to rule them all try Poorboys(PB) Professional Polish (PP), you can use it on NEARLY anything including chrome, plastics, etc. No abrasive, mostly chemical cleaning. But you really should get some PB Super Swirl Remover 2 (SSR2) and a sealant, EX for a dark car, EXP for light colors and metalics. 3 measily products all from PB that will see many, many details out.
