help DC family
Before I did my research on the board I just wanted to get some of you "Pros" advice:
Here`s the situation......I have a camero comming up in the next week or so where the owner requested that I only take care of the rims.
Ok...he has chrome ,star shapped rims. One rim is new and the others apperance look to be a little oxidized. What are the steps I should take in making the others look like the new one?

Hard to say without some pics. Check the archives, I`ve seen some posts on wheel care/restoration in there before. From memory you`ll need a new shopping list for some of the products.

I polish by hand (abrasive and chemical as needed) then add Zaino or the K twins.

I would try this to start get some polish and rub on the rims if it turns black they are unpolished aluminum
I don`t understand why chrome rims look oxidized, that sounds more like polished aluminum more than chrome.
However if they are chrome, I would get some acid based wheel cleaner, then use a good chrome polish to bring back the shine and finish up with a sealant. I have been told that sealant helps to keep brake dust from sticking to the rim.

Chrome coated or chrome? -
