Do we still tape off before polishing?

I have always taped off my vehicles before using wax or polish in order to keep the white residue off the trim areas. I`ve got some TPNS coming in and since it claims "zero dusting" will it still be necessary to tape off or will it also stain the trim? I`m still going to tape off the metal name tags. I am going to follow up with BFAFPP. May seem like a stupid question but I am just trying to save a step and time in the detail process.

TPnS really shouldn`t stain trim, but I would still tape off. If the trim is heavily textured or aged the risk of staining goes up.
