Hey guys check out my detail from this weekend on my car. 1993 Ford Mustang GT Convertible. I used 3M fine cut rubbing compound, #7, and then topped it with Meg NXT wax.
NXT was so easy to use and I loved the results!!
I used 3M rubbing compound on the trim and then Mothers back to black.
Castrol Super Clean for the engine and top, and then 303 protectant to proctect the top.

Man, what a difference. Nice work.
Thanks i did it all by hand. Took the majority of the day, from noon till about 7. Oh I forgot to mention, I washed the car with Meguiars car wash, used Meguiars Clay bar, then I used meg`s quick detail after the clay.
You are a brave man. Doing it all by hand. Your effort is evident.
I have had 3M compound for a long time I have been scared to use it lol. Then I saw in the prof detail forum and detail on single stage red the guy used it. So that gave me the courage to try it. I probably should have used #9 after the rubbing compound but new I`d be pressed on time. I honestly didn`t think I`d get these results without a rotary or PC. Saved myselt 179 bucks not buying the PC for it lol. I did pick up the NXT because its supposed to last longer than carnuba. We`ll see over the next month how the finish holds up.
The pictures didn`t scan well, in person the car is much brighter, has more of a redish orange color

I love #7 but tough to remove. 3M rubbing compound was a breeze to work with and was very impressive. If I had a PC I would have added DACP and/or #9. But didn`t have time by hand.
