Enclosed Trailer to Detail Trailer
Tomorrow will start the first day of work on my recently purchased Haulmark 6X12 enclosed trailer. Over the next few days and nights I will be installing the following upgrades:
- FRP walls
- Black and White checkered floor (Same as Chris`)
- Shelving
- Small office space/work bench
- Air Compressor (already had)
- Pressure Washer (Honda GX engine, CAT pump)
- Power Generator (Haven`t decided on which one to get, maybe you guys could offer your input? It is between one with a Subaru engine, and another with a Yamaha engine. I have no experience with either. Both have similar stats, with the Yamaha being about $180 more expensive.
Yamaha:
5500 continuous watts
7 Gal tank
12 hour run time @ 50%
Subaru:
5000 Continuous watts
6 gal tank
11 hour run time @ 50%
Thanks to 12 months no interest, no payments, and 10% off at home depot :rockon.
Tomorrow I`m hopefully going to start and finish the walls first, then flooring. After that I will most likely mount the water tank, pressure washer, and generator, and finish with shelving and work space. She will get lettered up after that, along with the truck. I will be posting plenty of pics along the way. Here is what I`m working with.

Check back in tomorrow night for updates. Hopefully I can do the FRP walls and floor, if not more.

Great Trailer and it compliments your white Truck. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Congrats on the purchase Shaun. If you need any advice or have any questions, you have my phone number. I will be looking forward to the build up.
It`s kind of funny, I like looking at peoples` setups mpre than pics of detailed cars! LOL, maybe it is a sign that I need to build trailers!?!:hmmm: :notme: LOL
Again, congrats, and looking forward to the build up!

Can`t wait to see the build Shaun.
Maybe I should have a showcase forum in the business section just for pictures of pro detail rigs.
Good idea?
:hmmm:

Re: Enclosed Trailer to Detail Trailer
Here is a very rough layout of the exterior vinyl on the trailer. On the truck, I will be borrowing the hemi rumble bee/daytona stripe theme down the side behind the rear wheels with my biz logo instead of the rumble bee logo. That theme I would like to continue onto the trailer like so. I`m having trouble on deciding if I want to throw some full res pics onto the outside or just keep it with die cut vinyl. I also haven`t decided what to put on the outside aside from what is here. Suggestions welcome as always.

Mods, the number is not mine.

Re: Enclosed Trailer to Detail Trailer
I like the first set-up with the rumble bee strip - I think it would look cool if you had the same strip and logo on your truck as well... good luck with the build up!!
Re: Enclosed Trailer to Detail Trailer
I like the first example as well.

Re: Enclosed Trailer to Detail Trailer
I like the 1st design too!:bigups
IMO you can`t go wrong with the Subaru generator. I realize that I am partial to the brand, but those engines seem to run forever according to the people I have spoken with. I have my eye on a pressure washer that is equipped with one.
Good luck with everything! Keep us posted.

I doubt you could go wrong with either choice. I`ve used Robin(Subaru) generators for years and they have never let me down. Mine has the electric start and idle down features which I must say spoil me.

Re: Enclosed Trailer to Detail Trailer
Guys, sorry to keep ya hanging. Progress on the trailer is going slower than I would have liked. Yesterday I started tackling the walls, had some setbacks with the divider pieces for the walls. So I switched to some white painted screen molding. Today I had a professional floor installer help me today with the flooring; we leveled out the 3/8" plywood subfloor, than troweled down some adhesive tile glue. Just finished the tiles at 10 pm tonight, and it looks AWESOME! Check back tomorrow for pics of the interior with the FRP walls, and checkered floor in. I`ve been working on the trailer for 11 hours straight today and I`m beat. If I have time, the pics will be up by 5pm ET.

Looking forward to them!!!!
