Re: Run/drip marks on tires?
#! post. Welcome. Are you washing your tires with car wash soap? That is never going to cut it. You need a dedicated tire cleaner or degreaser with a good tire brush. Being you have aggressive tires, a flagged tipped brush with a quality tire dressing is the key. Spray it on the brush then go over the tire to dress it.

A good dressing that will not sling...

Hope this helps you.

Re: Run/drip marks on tires?
Duragloss 253 or CG VRP are two popular water-based dressings that people often apply with flagged-tip brushes. I have used it but prefer a tire coating such as Tuf Shine or Pinnacle. But a coating needs the tires INCREDIBLY CLEAN.

I was not washing the tires with the soap. I did wash the gloss black fuel wheels with it though.

Re: Run/drip marks on tires?
I think what you are seeing was already there. I can`t imagine any car wash soap doing this.
Maybe a dog pissed on your tire?

That would be one big a@& dog. They are 37” tires. What about the turtle wax spray coating running off? It was applied several weeks prior to this wash I am referring to. IDK.

I have zero experience with turtle was spray coating but doubt seriously that is the culprit.
37" would be human size. Maybe a drunken neighbor did this?

Anyway, I am using meguiars deep crystal wash.
Is there a specific kind of soap I should use to wash the tires separately?
I use to shine tires with armorall and was told it is bad for rubber.
Did you wash your Jeep on a hot sunny day in the sun ???

I guess it could have been. I am just going to clean/scrub degrease them with the suggested stuff and go from there.

it was sunny, but not really that hot. Maybe 80 or so.
Re: Run/drip marks on tires?
Edit:: I just asked the Mrs. and she reminded me I actually mentioned how I “hated washing in the heat” because it was drying so quickly. Guess my memory is fading with age :)

Re: Run/drip marks on tires?
My recommendation would be Duragloss 253 applied with a flag-tipped brush.

Copy that,,, And what would you suggest for cleaning prior to the 253?
Thank you :)
