1973 Custom Ford Bronco by Maxlider Customs!
1973 Ford Bronco
Built by Maxlider Brothers Customs
Voodoo Blue
5.0 liter modular V8
4R70W automatic trans
Custom leather interior, suspension, etc, etc
Previous client of mine just received delivery of this after its debut at SEMA this year.
It is an incredible built. Modern day running gear in a classic Bronco body. All the creature comforts. KILLER color. I may be biased a bit, since it is a PTS Porsche color!
The paint is in decent shape. Very rough, needed to be clay bar’d badly. Major swirls and marring.
I also had to have an apprentice assist me with this vehicle due to an unforeseen back injury. So this will be the last vehicle I will be doing until further notice. (sucks!)

Re: 1973 Custom Ford Bronco by Maxlider Customs!
Nice job. Who would have thought there was a 5.0 in it just based on the exterior.
Re: 1973 Custom Ford Bronco by Maxlider Customs!
Thank you!
It`s really a cool build! Basically a `new` truck in `old` clothes!
Re: 1973 Custom Ford Bronco by Maxlider Customs!
Sweet ride, and a great job as always Scott!

Sizzle Chest:
First, I hope your back is getting better. My wife says I am extremely "nosy" (NO, really, Captain Obvious?!) about personal injuries and asking specifics about how it happened and how it is being treated and how you are doing from individuals (AKA, complete strangers here in the upper Midwest) with such maladies I talk to, so I will refrain from doing so here.
Just glad you have a competent "apprentice" to assist you.
And a question on the PTS Porsche Blue color; What does "PTS" stand for?
What was the contamination from that required claying?
Do you have an air brush to apply tire shine to such large and deep-lugged tires to? Or do you use an applicator pad or sponge? (Cannot imagine that you do a lot of off-road tires like this)
Very nice job and thanks for posting pics on this one-off custom-built Bronco.
Re: 1973 Custom Ford Bronco by Maxlider Customs!
Thanks Lonnie. Appreciate it.
PTS= Paint to Sample.
It had a ton of surface contamination. Overspray from painting maybe, but definitely heavily contaminated.
I do, I have the optimum gun that I use for larger tires like this, however I had an air compressor regulator issue and could not use it this time. So I went old fashioned and used a foam block and the dressing.
Thanks again!

Re: 1973 Custom Ford Bronco by Maxlider Customs!
Awesome vehicle and tremendous work. I`m not always a fan of blue, but I do like that color.
I was always more partial to International Scout`s cause dad had one while I was growing up. My uncle had a bronco. The one thing I remember about both the scout and the bronco was that in Central PA they were rust buckets...but then again neither adult was Autopian either!
