Re: BF Si02 Spray sealant.
I use it on my wife’s car, my truck and my work truck. Holds up well in SoCal been getting a lot of rain lately and it’s still sheeting good beads are good also I would rather have the rain sheet then bead.

I saw a pic of a sunset orange Camaro with Blackfire coating and it looked stunning.

Coating does look good nice gloss. He’s using the sio2 topper.

Re: BF Si02 Spray sealant.
I have good things about their topper except durability. If you don’t mind applying every 3 months you should be happy.
Not same as cancoat though different type of product. The sio2 spray won’t be as durable or protective.
If you change your mind again watch GYEINS video on Autogeek. Literally apply’s like a sealant. He sprays 2-3 sprays into microfiber towel. Applies and wipes off with second towel. Looks no more difficult than applying the BF SIO2 spray.

Re: BF Si02 Spray sealant.
Some would argue BF lasts less than 3 months, but that’s all variable. Keep applying after every wash or two and there should be constant protection regardless of weather.

I would have have to agree with you on that it seems to last about 1.5 or 2 months for me, but that’s fine my work truck sits unprotected in the California sun 7 days a week. Every 3rd wash I just spray some on and I’m good to good.

Re: BF Si02 Spray sealant.
If using this what do you use as maintenance?

This usually is the maintenance spray. Would top with itself. BF has a ceramic booster but I would just use itself to top.

If you are applying it as a topper to a coating, how would you have any idea as to it`s durability?

Probably only by noticing the difference in appearance and water behavior; enough so to be able to identify when the maintenance spray look/beading degraded and/or the base coating properties have totally returned. Probably difficult to track but people with enough experience with the base coating can probably identify the change.

If you want to know durability need to do a test panel . I don’t care for durability as I’ll top anything once a month in the summer and winter

Re: BF Si02 Spray sealant.
Anyone know what the scent would be. ??
I didn`t like the smell of the sealant, too perfumey.
Thanks
Re: BF Si02 Spray sealant.
If this has already been asked forgive me. Any opinions on this product and how it stacks old to the old Crystal Seal product?

This is a great question. I have some crystal seal left and was wondering the same thing.
