Im thinking of getting the 3" backing plate.
Looking for some opinions. I am thinking of getting the Griots 3" backing Plate/Pads for my GG 6" DA. Anyone here have any experience with this backing plate ? Any thoughts/comments/help is appreciated. Thank you.https://www.autopia.org/forums/attac...id=35493&stc=1
Re: Im thinking of getting the 3" backing plate.
I don`t have that specific one, but I did put a 3" backing plate on my 6" GGDA and love it.
The one I have is a thin yellow, and I wish it was a little thicker to push the pad out farther. I think the one you`re looking at would be perfect for that.

The thick style backing plate is the most well rounded, however I do also have the thin style for those harder paint systems.

Perfect timing... this would be the cats ass for headlight work. Correct?

The Griot’s machine with that plate is the reason I sold my Rupes 75.

I`ve been getting a whiff of Buyer`s Remorse over mine for the same reason...well, not "buyer`s" as it was a gift, but, well...I could live without the Rupes even if it is convenient to have dedicated machines for different things.

Off topic or on topic. SEMA has come and gone. No ittty bitty Boss. Cmon Griots. The 5 and 6 have replaced my Rupes. I need a trio
