Blackfire Pro Primer Polish details?
There are a few threads on the sister site about this, but no informative responses that I’ve seen.
I’m inquiring whether the new Pro Primer Polish has any abrasives, and if it doesn’t (description states it doesn’t), how does it correct small defects? Is it expected that the pad itself does the correcting? Does the silica somehow correct? Or is there no correction but just very good filling properties? I assume the fillers last a long time since the product contains silica, similar to Essence.
For anyone who has used this, or anyone from Autogeek who has info, thank you in advance!
Re: Blackfire Pro Primer Polish details?
I asked Bobby from AGO in the facebook group and he never answered.
If it does not then it is more than likely the pad doing the work.
Re: Blackfire Pro Primer Polish details?
Thanks for checking. Everyone is pretty silent on this stuff so far, I guess it’s too new. I just think it’s unprecedented for a product description to claim correction abilities if the pad is doing the only true correcting. But hopefully some more info will come in.
For the record, I already purchased this product (still in transit), and I’m asking these questions for my own planning purposes. Unless I find a new car to use it on, I don’t plan on using it until winter prep time... hopefully more info comes out by then!
Re: Blackfire Pro Primer Polish details?
I used the polish on a car and motorcycle both in very good condition before applying the BF ceramic coating.
I found a couple of scratches on a saddlebag and had to use the regular BF polish to get them out.
So no I don’t see any cutting from the primer polish but it sure left a nice shine.

Chopper, by any chance have you used Essence primer in the past?

Re: Blackfire Pro Primer Polish details?
Autogeek confirmed that is is non-abrasive on a facebook post that I asked on.
Re: Blackfire Pro Primer Polish details?
Thanks Guz, that’s the results I got. Excellent shine though!
Re: Blackfire Pro Primer Polish details?
So it must do filling then, similar to Essence (although I understand Essence also does light correction with fine abrasives). Hopefully these are semi-permanent i.e. last a long time (similar to what I understand Essence does).
