Hose sprayer for foam gun replacement Recommendation
Part of the spray that is used for the foam gun and general spray/rinse broke and now it`s a three hand operation to use it. The nose has the standard garden hose thread and a quick disconnect on it that attaches to the foam gun so I need that style of end.
Any half decent basic hose nozzles out there? How bad can the $7.99 zinc cast one at the home-depot possibly be :)

Gilmour makes a, 8 pattern hose nozzle with a built in swivel, and a lifetime warranty. At Walmart for $12.66. I have one. It is nice.
Re: Hose sprayer for foam gun replacement Recommendation
You need one that has a threaded end to accept the quick disconnect on the foam gun. I got my foam gun from Autogeek, and truthfully, the nozzle is a piece of junk. I got this one from Lowes the other day....it has a rubber cap that comes off and is threaded underneath.

Hmmm, didn`t even think that those fronts unscrewed, I`ll have to check that out
Thanks

We have one of those styles for general use but it won`t accept the foam gun

Unscrew the quick disconnect from the old nozzle and put it on the new one
Re: Hose sprayer for foam gun replacement Recommendation
I have all my (numerous) hoses/nozzles/hose-end units/etc. fitted with the same brass quick-disconnects. That way everything is 100% compatible and the brass ones last a long time even if undone/redone frequently.
Re: Hose sprayer for foam gun replacement Recommendation
Went over to HomieDepot and grabbed a "Gilmour PRO Heavy Duty Hot Water Nozzle" unscrewed the rubber/plastix end piece and put my quick disconnects on the nose and tail and I`m back in business :)

Re: Hose sprayer for foam gun replacement Recommendation
Does a high quality one actually exist? I`d pay well for one that would actually last. Seems like you got to buy a new one every year or two. They don`t like being dropped, or they start leaking, or start to seize up and don`t want to operate very well. Anyone make one that is just awesome?

I`ve had good luck and results with the MTM Hydro PF22 Professional Snow Foam Cannon

Yeah that`s what killed mine, the plastic loop part that actually pulls on the stem that controls the spray cracked at the top so it would just slips over the adjuster nut rather than pulling it. Chances are good from being "put down" for the past 2 or 3 years.
The foam-gun part still works acceptably (I have terrible water pressure and a full 50` run to the driveway) but it`s a pain to drag out the pressure washer and cannon some days

Not sure this`d work with any other types of foam guns, but I lay mine across the polypropylene utility carts. Right up there around waist level, no dropping/impacts, huge improvement for me over setting `em down on the floor. That`s basically all I use those two carts for, they`re place to lay the foamguns (still connected to their hoses) and as a repository for spare jugs of shampoo mix and my gallons of concentrate.
