Nano Skin jumps into the polisher fray
Re: Nano Skin jumps into the polisher fray
Looks like a griots/Rupes knockoff. And yeah it’s cheaper but it’s not cheap. Why would anyone buy that?

All of the companies that make knockoffs and replicas just hope that you see their product first and that you don`t do any research on the brands. Not saying this is a bad machine because I haven`t used it, but it`s just them trying to keep up with everyone else. Happens with every single detailing product out there.

Found this ...
My concern would be the weight.
I do like all the rubberizing and length.
The 750w draw puts it mid. range, as we`ll as the 0 - 5,200 opm.
I dunno ??https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c0b4c1672b.jpg
Good lookin` tools always get my attention... :o
Re: Nano Skin jumps into the polisher fray
It would probably be a good tool. Everyone likes the Griots polishers and they are knockoffs of Rupes. I hear good things about the DAS brand, another knockoff. Probably made in the same factory as Griots. The price is attractive. Check Alibaba for all things Chinese and you might find a better price. I wonder what kind of warranty they provide?
Re: Nano Skin jumps into the polisher fray
You can rest assured the Griot’s is not a Rupes knock off!

It was my understanding that Rupes pioneered RO polishers. I read an article that Mike Phillips wrote giving the dates of manufacture of Rupes polishers. I may be confused but are you saying Griots was first to market a RO polisher? I don’t think Griots came up with the idea of a DA RO polisher without examining the market leader. A knockoff is just a copy of something. Griots polisher is not breaking new ground. No offense to Griots intended. Tools today are not originals but are copies of existing tools for the most part. Basically trying to make a better mousetrap.
Re: Nano Skin jumps into the polisher fray
I consider a knock off to be a cheap imitation of a current item. Griot’s has taken an existing idea and improved on the short comings. Also offering a better warranty and accessories that improved its performance.
