B & S Uro Fiber Pad cut ability ?
I need a pad that has a heavier cut than MF pads or Foamed Wool.
Wondering where these Uro-fiber pads land, cut wise ?
Only have some 2" ones now so will have to place an order.
Want to pair with BF compound or Jescar on swirly Nissan paint that is giving me trouble.
:D

I don’t think they cut more than a me cutting pad. Probably finish better, though.
Re: B & S Uro Fiber Pad cut ability ?
Because Nissan paint is fairly soft generally i’ld look into a heavy cut foam pad and bit extra product on the pad. Sort of my experience

The uro fiber pads wont cut more than a dedicated mf cut pad or a wool, urofiber pads are half mf cut, half mf finishing fibers. But the fibers are 25%? shorter so they`re supposed to "cut" better (to my understanding) than "normal" length ones (although they are the only manufacturer with the shorter length fibers that I`m aware of)
For 2 inch I get much better cut (on my nano) with the rupes blue pads vs urofibers, controlling for same product. Same is true for all my sized urofibers...additionally they will burn the hell out of your backing plate on high speed

Urofibers are great all around mf pads. I usually use them for single step correction because the finish so nice.
If you need more cut, you can`t beat the Lake Country mf pads. I`d also switch to a smat compound like M100. Using DAT compounds like the BF compound really limits how much cut you get.

Thanks ! I will stick with the MF. I Like the way they cut without haze.
The foamed wool that I have did haze some.
I`m leaning toward Jescar compound. I believe is DAT ? Which tells me when to stop.
I see what you are saying about the SMAT , cuts the entire work time, to get the cut you need, adjust the work time.
All my SMAT would be Meg`s from my very beginning days.. a rough start, knew nothing, had a rotary and M105/M205..Whew!
But that`s a whole `nother story. I haven`t used Meg`s since. (it was that bad:)

Mary, I`m with Ray on liking using the urofibers for one steps... I`ve also got some pretty impressive results on black using the urofiber pads and Poorboys PWC blue. It`s a killer AIO, but of course I usually top that with some Nattys.
Other than that I`m finding for a two step I still use a cutting pad followed by a finishing pad and all my urofibers sit most jobs out these days.

Uro-fiber pads definitely won`t cut more than other MF pads. They cut a little bit less than Meguiars MF cutting pads and LC MF cutting pads.
You should really look into buying some Fast Correcting Cream or M101/M100 if you`re trying to correct harder paints.

Yes Thank You. I do have some Fast Correcting Cream, will give it a go.
I was thinking of hitting the bad spots with a 3" lambswool, maybe cutting 1 down to a 2" ?? Then working the panel w/ MF.
I will be using S40 to finish... I do enjoy S40`s finish (a 99 I believe)
