How do you store your polishing pads
I need to expand my arsenal storage a bit. My storage drawers are packed to the gills and need more space. I was curious how everyone stores polishing pads when not in use. Right now I store mine in Ziploc bags on their sides basically vertical like dishes in a dish rack. I don`t stack them flat. Never thought one way would be better then the other until now. I can get 3 used B&S flat foam or MF pads per bag. New pads stay in the new packaging before use.
My usual OCD has to be surgically clean storage method for all my towels and pads is to go right into Ziploc bags once they are dry. Since pads sit out and take long to dry they put back on my DA for a quick spin to make sure all the rinse water is gone, blown out with compressed air before being packed up.
Thanks Guys

Ziplock bags stored in Sterilite brand clear plastic totes from Walmart. The 5-6 inch pads fit perfect on end.
I always let mine dry for 48 hrs before bagging.
Re: How do you store your polishing pads
great idea. I was looking for circular "cookie" containers to put them in... bu found it hard to grip and they roll... so i just keep them in an upright multi size unit.
Re: How do you store your polishing pads
I use a sterilite 3 drawer rack and keep my bagged pads in that along with my bagged towels but I`m running out of room so I have to pick up another rack as well, not sure how big I`m going to go. It`s just going to be overflow of towels, pads and other random detailing tools. I was more concerned about the pads warping but I never had a issue. Love the Tupperware container idea.

I keep mine in plastic tubs too.

Plastic tubs here too. I have a 24 liter one from Really Useful Boxes.

Same here, though I can`t recall whether mine are Sterilites or not. Different drawers for different pads/applicators. Unused/new ones are stored in RubberMaid Rough Totes.
Towels are just stored in various (color-coded) RubberMaid trash cans on castered bases.

I am blessed to have an entire cabinet devoted to Pads, so they all go in there, stacked by color and size, on top of each other..
My garage is totally insulated including the door, and there is very little dirt intrusion into the space, so no worries about dirt getting on them..
And of course, I always LOOK at everything before it touches paintwork, etc., to insure there is no extra stuff in there along for the ride..

2ND vote for Really Useful Boxes. Their 6.5 liter or 3 liter fit 5 or 5.5 pads perfectly. Can squeeze in 6 inch pads as well.
Re: How do you store your polishing pads
I use plastic bins. Pads are in the bin on the bottom shelf.
Seems to work well. But I certainly don`t have as many pads as some folks do on here...
