Carpet Cleaning (brush attachment)

Hey Guys!

so a few might remember a little while back i was asking about the brush attachments for cleaning carpet. That i ordered the Rupes mark II and and also some other things including the the brush attachments. Then found out that i cant use them on it, someone on here told me just to go to harbor fright and pick up a cheap polisher to use for the brushes. So i did that.

I didn`t get the chance at the time to try it out because of surgery, so now i`m good enough to give it a try. Is there any tips or useful info i should know when it comes to cleaning interior cloth with the brushes? I`m going to test it out on my truck. my carpet has sand all in it due to living in the desert so i hope that will help bring it out. I plan on using Meguires APC to use on the carpets. from what i read on the reviews, it works good on carpets?

I also bought the leather brush. Ill try that out on the wife`s MB, so any useful info would be appreciated for leather also.
