Been there done that, luckily it was in a house with a vinyl floor. Not so good for hardwood!
That said, I still use Dawn to strip wax, flame away!

My Wife did that same thing when we were on vacation down in the Algarve region in Portugal.
We had a nice hotel, and there were all these weird Bosch appliances in our room that we didn`t want to take the time to figure out. Took a long time to clean up, and a lot of fancy hotel towels.
The new detergents certainly don`t work well with older models. That said, we just completed a full remodel and love our new Kitchen Aid Pro Series KDTM404ESS . It`s silent when running and does a fantastic job cleaning.Quote:
