Boat oxidation problems (pictures)
Evening everyone,
I recently was asked to take part in a job that consisted of removing heavy oxidation on an action craft boat that sat for 2 years and possibly longer with no care. The customer wanted to bring back the shine on his newly acquired boat. Here is my dilemma, after compounding with meguiars 105 then 205 it seemed to do the job, but also left hard water spots. Wet sanding was not desired as he just wanted a 2 or 3 step deal. After finishing with the meguairs, i used a blue polish pad with some meguiars polish, then with jet seal. the issue was that when i applied the jet seal, and removed the sealant after 20 mins, it looked oxidized again.. :( not nearly as bad, but still noticeable. I went back again with meguiars to clean the surface again, obviously wiping off the sealant. Still, some areas showed, so I figured after I hit it again, i apply a wax just to see what happens. when wiping off the wax, same EXACT thing! at this point, I felt like any wax I used was just not having it. I ended up using 3d hdspeed on it, for it has somewhat of a wax protection. My problems are I`m lost as to what I did wrong, and I don`t want the oxidation to just come back withing a week. He is also going to be taking out the boat this coming weekend. Any info would be greatly appreciated, I also included some pictures.

Yes, they are mostly Gel Coats and do react differently than CC .. they can absorb color , but this can be both good and bad ....
John who I recommended before is one of the best i have seen in a long time in understanding which and where each product should be used ... he has also put our factory on notice of how much
Master Cut he needs per season
