We have a bleeder! 2016 Rubicon Heavy contamination
So I got a call earlier this week from a client. He had just purchased a brand new modified Jeep Rubicon. His main concern was that the white paint had all sorts of brown dots stuck on the surface. So in my mind I already knew what the issue was. After some education and discussion with the client we settled on my Express Detail package to rid the surface of contaminates and add a little protection.
The wheels were cleaned up with McKee`s extreme iron remover and sealed with hydro2.
Tires were hit with LATA and dressed with Hyper Dressing
Paint got a good iron remover bath using Mckees extreme iron remover. Then was washed and hit with a nanoskin medium grade prep towel. Then then sealed with hydro2 and topped off with TAC Systems Quartz Max.
Interior got a quick wipe with Mckees fast interior detailer and the carpets were vacuumed. Windows cleaned with Invisible glass.
Nasty iron deposits!

Thanks bud. For dressing I just spray a nice even coat of Hyper Dressing mixed 50/50 and let it setup. Then go back and touch up any areas missed and give them a wipe down to get any excess off.

I got some hyper dressing from a member recently, I`ll give that a shot next time mixed up

Brandt - hyper dressing is very nice under the hood too. I don`t have another product to compare against for engine heat but it has an unfortunate tendency to attract dust and dirt IMHO.

The "bleeding" is impressive...
Hope your customer saw it or pics of it, so they can actually see how important it is.

At least it was not Barry the Bleeder :) Man that had some serious iron deposits (probably rail dust).

Haha. Yeah my thought is that is definitely rail dust from shipping. But the owner swears it wasn`t there when he bought it. And that it didn`t show up until after a small recent snow fall where they salted the roads.
My only other thought would be that it was there when he picked up just not as visible. Then when he road salt hit the surface it caused it to become much more evident.
Re: We have a bleeder! 2016 Rubicon Heavy contamination
What are they using on the roads up there these days? I remember in Leominster (central MA) the heavy use of sand and less salt due to the corrosive nature of the calcium cholrate they were using. If they have changed the chemistry, it could explain some of the contamination but not all that.
Re: We have a bleeder! 2016 Rubicon Heavy contamination
Lots of areas stopped using sand since they decided it was a pollutant. SO salt and/or brine etc.

Yeah around here it`s still a sand salt mix.

Looks awesome now that you got your hands on it. Was that bought at the jeep dealer in Brockton? they have been building and selling a lot of upfitted jeeps.
