The best thing to do is ask the shop doing the repairs how long the cure time is for the finish.

Paintwork dries from the bottom up and out..
You have a few coats of primer drying, then in some cases a sealer drying, then perhaps a few coats of a basecoat drying, and then perhaps a few coats of clear, etc., on top drying..
Very few shops will dry it completely before it goes out the door.. They have to run xx number of cars out every week..
If it was me, I would want to wait until everything is dry and there is no more smell coming out from it..

Exactly what Dan said, the paint MUST gas out. I`d wait around 3 months imo. Especially because it`s cold it will take a bit longer.Quote:
