Hello guys, I`m a rookie detailer from Atlanta, Ga. I bought a Teg and decided to make sure she looked her best. So I bought some items from our sponsor and cleaned her up. Now I`m thinking of doing it as a part time job. So wanted all the info I could get. I`m sure I`ll be able to find a lot of info here and hopefully get feedback. Talk to you soon

Thank you very much. I`m already reading all I can in here. I`m just trying to get some ideas on what to do. Like how to charge and what exactly to offer.
Do you plan on picking up the cars and doing them at your place or at theirs?
I pickup and delivery. Full detail with out the motor is 150 to 200 depending on the condition of the car. I base my price on how long I think it will take. Its always around 5 to 6 hours. Tehnm you have some that do not want to pay the top $$$ so I have one at about 100 that is a mini detail if you will. Inside cleaned and dressing allpies, I use Klasse on the outside as a one step and windows, tires, etc. This I can do in about 2 to 2.5 hours.
You also need to go to all the detail places around you and see what they are charging. I`m about the market here but my works is far above what they are doing.

And that info was great Beemerboy. That`s one of my biggest questions. I was wondering where exactly I was going to do the washes. I didn`t know if people would let me take their car. But since I just started, the few that I have lined up are coworkers. So I would probably go to their car. But thanks for the charging guidelines. Now if you can answer swirl remover and engine detailing quesitons, that would be most helpful. :D

I`m going to defer the engine cleaning to some of the others you may want to start a thread asking. I`m really not that good at it.
Now on the swril removing, here is what I have been doing for the last few years on my bkack car.
Wash and dry
Clay bar if it needs it, mine is cleaned alot but most cars could use it first time threw.
Polish I use a orbital but by hand you will be OK
The SWRIL REMOVER this again can be done by hand.
I use a 3M hand glaze after that to set it up for a wet look when I put the wax on.
Last is wax by hand or orbital.
If you are using a orbital on the polish I use a cutting pad, and a finishiong pad on the rest.
Dwayne can help you with all these products should you not have them in your area.
