A web search led me to this site. I am an advanced wood working hobbiest who has decided to try spaying varnish.
I have used a traditional spray gun in the past, and was going to use that until a friend gave me a Binks Mach 1 HVLP this morning. It is used and "appears" to be complete.
I connected the gun to the cup that my old Binks 7 was connected to, but cannot get the HVLP to spray any thinner. Do I need a different cup for this gun? Could an old cup be converted? If the cup is not the problem, what else should I be looking for for the problem?
