I have a friend who suffered some heat damage at a race track. Think there is anything that can be done for the paint at this point, or should he just repaint it?

OUCH! Oh man, that is painful even to look at....
oh com`on lets tackle it ...roflmao
where`s the guy with the microphone saying look you can even light it on fire...double roflmao
I nominate Anthony Orosco! See what he can do... hehe
maybe the driver was distracted by that red bow tie you are wearing and hit a brick wall?
hmmm i`d say about 12k in parts and 10k in labor. I`d have her lookin new. :D
Wanna help poorboy?
Koop ...I think I`ll pass:p it looks more like you would have to cutthe front half of the car off and the attach the back half that isn`t smashed...you did see the front was totally collapsed:(
now if you could get the right deal from a dismantler you could do it under 15k...and make a hefty profit...:D
That would be one heck of a deal! that`s a viper. I don`t konw of any dismantaler that would let a hood off one go for 15k!
Koop all you need to find is one that was rear ended and put the two together:rolleyes:
You have to go out to California or Arizona and check out what`s available at the dismantlers....it would blow your mind....old, new everything...they buy totalled vehicles that they know have salvage value and if they can they just cut off the damaged half and they put the saved half or quater or even just a front clip in one piec on a huge shelf...when you drive by you see the front of 30-40 cars stacked 20 feet in the air...
This is obvious. I understood that. I`m just not familiar with your movie star salvage yards! Here in wisconsin if you find a yard that has seen a viper that`s been in an accident it`s beond a mericle.Quote:

Koop it`s like going to heaven for us rust belt guys...I use to go to the piick your part junk yards and get lost for hours...learned a lot about how cars are put together that way too...and if you screw up taking a part off..who cares..move to the next junker:D
Lucky guy :( not fair. I want a yard like that. I could be making some REAL money then.
