Hello and welcome to DC! I`ve not had the pleasure of using Souveran paste but I have used Liquid Souveran and IMO you`re better off putting that money toward the Souveran paste. Liquid Souveran just wasn`t anything special. In fact, for what you pay for a bottle of Liquid Souveran you can get a gallon of Cherry Wet Wax which I think is actually better.
Sounds like you`re planning on using Souveran as a topper over something else? Give P21s a try or Trade Secret, both of which you can get from Dwayne here at the online store.

Skip both and buy P21S .... there is definitely not a $40 - 50 difference in appearance to justify spending the extra cash. P21S is the best carnauba wax for the money, period! :)
I have Souvran Paste, and it is my favorite Wax. It also the costliest. If I went the Wax route (Not UPP) I would use Souvran or S100, which I like alot and is cheaper...Blitz is good also..for the price..
Souvran looks fantastic on darker cars...just a fantastic wax...and of course the vehicle must be cleaned properly before applying..

direkt,
Maybe it`s just me, but I`ve found that paste waxes (excluding synthetics) always seem to look better, and last longer than liquids........... however, they don`t always go on, and off as easy as liquid.
Good luck with whatever you decide (but decide on the paste)! :D
Usually liquid wax is machine application oriented. It doesn`t lasts as long as paste, though.
Im gonna use EX and then put the souverans over it, still paste?
Stick with the EX. 3 coats at least or best. But, if you must layer carnauba over it, yes, paste. You`ll be disappointed with the gains, though.
Ok, is there anything that would give me gains when going over the EX? Also the EX coats should be applied 24 hours apart so I would imagine my car should sit in the garage during that time frame?
