New from the Seattle Area
I`ve ended up here via Google searches from time to time - figured it was about time to sign up.
Part of my motivation is that I just took delivery of a Tesla Model S (in Pearl White). My last car, a 2010 Jaguar XF Supercharged in black, was beautiful - but it was already swirled when I took delivery of it. I wish I`d gotten into the info here while I had it - those swirls would have been gone and stayed gone. Anyway, now that I have a fresh start with a thankfully unswirled car, I`m committed to keeping it that way.
Thanks for all the great info here.
Jeff

Sweet car!...there are some folks with them and Fisker Karma`s in my neck of the woods.
I`ve dealt with Polished Image Detailing in Tacoma. Good peeps & they did excellent work.

Welcome Neighbor, and Congratulations on ownership of a beautiful car !
Hope you are enjoying the heck out of it ! I love that Pearl White color - it just pops beautifully in the sun when it is swirl free and sealed up !
There are a great bunch of people here who know a lot about Detailing - professionally and for fun, so you will have the best of both worlds. A win-win ! :)
Glad that the list of people here from the PNW is growing !
I am formerly from Newport Shores, Bellevue, and have just moved to Issaquah, where I am busy setting up my Detailing Business all over again.
Am always glad to help anyone who want to know about all this stuff..

Thanks! Yeah, I`m having a lot of fun with it. The acceleration is unlike anything I`ve ever driven, and of course it gets a lot of looks - mostly people with puzzled looks on their faces, trying to figure out what it is.
I agonized over the color choice. But after 3 straight black cars (Durango Lmtd, Chrysler 300C, Jag XF), I decided to go for the pearl white. As you know, around here a dark car gets dirty fast, especially this time of year (i.e., the 9 straight months of rain). Plus, when I reserved the car back in 2009, the white was the signature color, so that`s what I`ve had in my head all these years. :)

Nice. I grew up in Bellevue - went to Interlake. I`m out in the Snoqualmie Valley now, but work in Seattle, so I drive through Issaquah most days (to avoid Redmond/520).
Anyway, great to meet everyone.

University Place, WA here, also long time reader on site and decided to join. Currently using all Zaino detailing products and enjoy detailing as a hobby on our MDX and helping the kids keep their vehicles looking good. Son has a 2007 Acura TL Type S and daughter has a 2010 CRV and my uncle has a 2010 Accord all 3 vehicles in black which is an extra challenge all by itself.
Just bought a bottle of blackfire wd, looking forward to trying it out on these black vehicles.
