im pretty new to all this detailing stuff and surprised as to how much more i could have been doing over the years. ive always just washed with a dishsoap and followed with commercial waxes. i enjoy taking care of my cars and im excited about getting started doing it the right way on a corvette i recently purchased. so with that said.......i would like to know if i have all the bases covered for a complete exterior detail from start to finish. this is what i had in mind...

start with a wash such as P21S

use a clay bar

wash again

apply coat of AIO

finish with Souveran
NOTE: i understand product preference may vary per person, i would just like to know if what i listed above will give me everything i need for a complete detail or if im missing some steps. Thanks- Ja

Everything? no. It may be everything you need depending on the condition of your car...does it have swirls that you want to get rid of? You`ll have to get a swirl removal product if you want to remove them.
Also, other stuff besides paint is important...trim and tires should be dressed, and I`d put klasse aio on your wheels too, but skip the souveran.
I hope that gives you some things to think about, but even as-is, it won`t be a waste of time.

# start with a wash such as P21S
# use a clay bar
# wash again
# use a swirl mark remover
# possible wash or quick detail, but not necessary, IMO
# dress trim + tires before or after all waxing, your choice
# apply coat of AIO
# finish with Souveran
