    SSR2.5? Probably user problems

I have a emerald green honda accord. There is some flake`s in the paint that give it a nice contrast. I have a pc and 2 white pads, orange, and polish pad ( forgot what color) I tried some of the ssr2.5 with a white pad and am not happy with the results. Did not really do anything. What did I do wrong. I know I put plenty of ssr2.5 on it.

What condition is the paint? If it is badly swirled or scratched you may not see much difference using a what??pad?? white polish pad???
Maybe you should see who makes your pads because that may give someone else more information to help you. I "think" your using a white "polish pad" and that would be OK. But maybe it`s a Edge white FINISHING pad and that may be why you are getting "unhappy results", whatever that means.

You might want to use your more aggressive orange pad (sort of a cutting pad/polishing pad) and move the PC around sloooooooooooooowly at 4-5 speed on a small area (3`x3`) or a single panel. Search for how people are using SSR2.5 and orange pads and so on.

    That`s all I can suggest.

    :yeah

if your swirls are deep, then you need a more agressive pad...like SVETA said who`s pads are you using?... if it was finishing pad not much would be happening...how long did you work each area, more product does NOT = better swirl removal...did you work it at speeds of 5- 5.5? did you work it until it turned to dust? ...more information is need from your techniques to give you some advice:dunno

I`ve used SSR2.5 with a yellow LC pad and with an orange LC, PC set at 5, and had very good results with both pads.

I don`t know what kind of results I`d expect to get using SSR2.5 on a polishing pad (assuming you`re using LC pads) but I think I`d expect better results using a more aggressive pad.

I will use the orange lake county pad. I just have been told to start light and if it does not work then go heavier. I am sure I will get better results with the orange pad.
