    Poorboys What Do I Need

I am looking for something that will make my dark emerald green honda stand out. I dont know what I need from the poorboys line. I have s100 cleaner and s100 paste wax. I do have some swirls and spider webbing. I just ordered a PC 7424 and a LC orange pad 2 whites and 1 black one.

That`s a great color to work with!

As for products, it depends on how much spider webbing you have, and how bad it looks. Anyhow, I would clean the paint by hand with your S100. Then I would try Poorboy`s SSR2, or SSR2.5 on a polishing pad (not familar with LC pads....... pick the polishing one) with the PC set at around 4.5 - 5 until the marks are gone. Then, I would follow up with a quick pass over the vehicle with SSR1 on a finishing pad with the PC set at 5 or 6........... just to make sure they are gone, and add some gloss. Now, you could apply a coat or two of Poorboy`s EX, and follow that up with a coat of S100 a couple days later.

That should make it stand out!

I agree with what was said above. SSR2.5 is a great product.

    I totally agree.

EX will give you a deep, wet look and EX-P will give you a clear, wet look. It`s all up to you, but i like EX-P with metallics better since it clearly shows the flakes.

    Good Luck!

I say, depending how bad it is, go over the car with SSR2 twice then Polish with carnuba, than EX or EX-P and then top with Natty`s.

    Check out my Honda:

I juts did my black BMW with minor swrils. Used the following.

    SSR2.5 with a cutting pad
    SSR1 with a cutting pad
    P-w-C with a polish pad

The finish was the best that I have seen the car in some time. I did not use any paste wax or EX as this si a garage queen so protection was not of a concern.

will the ssr2 makes the clear haze up? Sounds like I need some ssr2, nattys, and ex-p. My pain has a metal flake in it and I believe some one here said the ex-p made that type of paint stand out. Will the ssr2 work with a orange pad. Also hom much to you apply and does it dry in also like other cleaner/light compounds? Do Ineed to mix a 50/50 solution of alchol and water and wipe it down before putting on nattys? Also what Polish with carnuba are you using.

my experience with the LC orange pad is that they are really firm and have some true cutting power. so if the ssr2 wont leave a haze the pad certainly might. maybe a suggestion to use ssr2 with the LC white pad first. Leave the orange pad for serious compounding (which it excels at BTW).

Not polishing with carnauba....Polish with Carnauba....PwC, the Poorboy`s product.
I still don`t believe in grit guards.

I have in the past, but this black bmw is very interesting. EX or paste wax give it a smeary or oily look so I stop at the P-w-C. I`m wondering of paste wax on P-w-C is to much.
