Question Unable to finish with SSR1. Are you?

I`ve heard of people who can finish down to LSP-ready with SSR1. Definately not the case with my 8-year-old dark blue 911.

I can finish to a high gloss with Professional Polish, PF2500, M205, even UC! Not so with SSR1.

Is this a SMAT vs. DAT issue? Soft paint? Or technique? For finishing, I`d typically use a green or blue CCS pad on my GG6.

Try an even softer pad. I`ve always used SSR1 with Red CCS pads and had good luck with it. Its a jewling polish and has very little cut. Using it with even a semi aggressive polishing pad will usually give you less than desirable results. Super soft finishing pads are the way to go with SSR1.

Thanks for the advice. I thought Blue was a jeweling pad? Anyway I have Red and Black flat pads, so I`ll try that.
