    Not necessarily. I was able to go straight from SSR2.5 to VM on a burgundy colored car. I think there will be many instances where you will be able to skip the intermediate step. It will probably depend on the overall condition of the paint, the abrasiveness of the pad used, as well as the hardness of the paint.

    I didn`t want to say before Marj stepped in (since you asked her), but you COULD probably go like that on a dark car, but I bet you $$ that you`ll get more out of it spending the time doing SSR1 before EX or Natty`s....
