    Ex

How do you guys apply EX? Do you wipe it on the whole car then buff or do a small section at at time?

I use PVA sponges, apply to whole vehicle and take off about one hour later...

I do the same thing as Jeff. You want to get it even in thinkness. The PVA pads are a real trick in getting that right

I normally apply sealants and waxes with my PC and a finishing pad. I`ve had great luck getting an even, thin coat quickly.

So, an hour wait time is perfect for me. I like that better than doing one section at a time. WOWO method gets pretty old sometimes.

    Thanks for your help!

I usually apply it with either a greay pad and a PC or by hand and a sponge applicator. I prefer by hand for some reason. I usually apply it and clean the interior and then take it off. I have let it sit for over 24 hours before an have noticed no difference than leaving it on for 30 minutes. I have about 3 coats of EX on now. Here is a pic of my car from a BBQ I went to this past weekend.

I waste alot of product (EX) on the PC pads., so I`d rather use a PVC spnge which I like

I use EX on a finishing pad, and remove after an hour. I only like applying paste waxes by hand, everything else gets applied with the PC.

ummmm, I found the opposite. I always use less product when using the PC, a finishing pad, and Adam`s Detail Spray than by hand :dunno

I leave my EX on for 45-60 minutes before buffing off.

I agree with Nick in that I use less when I apply ex by pc than by hand with a pva. I just did one coat by pc today on my maroon 96 Mercury Sable. Hopefully tomorrow it won`t rain and I can get that second coat on by hand.

I`ve found that when working w/ ex-p 3 layers is awesome for shine and slickness. I`m hoping to get 3 layers of ex on the sable and compare. After the one coat mark ex-p was much slicker than ex.

Have you guys noticed the difference in slickness between the two?

I`ve noticed that the shines are different. The carnuba in ex really brings depth and a wet-look to the dark finish on my maroon mercury, while the ex-p brings a high shine and extreme clarity on the silver navigator I did.

EX-P I noticed was quite a bit slicker, but the rest you described to a "T". I love that stuff!

I`ve also found EX-P to be slicker than EX. This is true from the time of initial application through a few months of exposure.

You described the difference in appearance very well. The difference is exactly why I prefer EX on darker colors and EX-P on lighter colors.
